Position Overview

The Partnerships & Development Officer is responsible for building relationships with companies, foundations, organizations, and individual donors to support Scholar Ghana's mission of expanding access to higher education through scholarships.

This role combines partnership development, fundraising, outreach, marketing, and public representation. The successful candidate will identify funding opportunities, prepare sponsorship proposals, attend meetings with potential partners, and help increase awareness of Scholar Ghana across Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential corporate sponsors, foundations, NGOs, and individual donors.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with partners and supporters.
  • Prepare sponsorship proposals, fundraising letters, presentations, and partnership agreements.
  • Represent Scholar Ghana at meetings, networking events, conferences, and community engagements.
  • Research new funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline of prospective donors.
  • Coordinate fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  • Support Scholar Ghana's marketing, social media, and public relations activities.
  • Track outreach efforts and prepare regular partnership and fundraising reports.
  • Work closely with leadership to achieve fundraising and partnership goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
    • Professional appearance and excellent presentation skills.
    • Ability to prepare professional proposals, reports, and presentations.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience in fundraising, business development, corporate partnerships, sales, or nonprofit organizations.
    • Experience managing social media or digital marketing campaigns is an advantage.
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
